July has been a roller coaster at RYP full of training clients, visiting trainer students and wildfires!
We had a wonderful batch of board and trains as well as a full group of students working through and wrapping up their private lesson programs (See pics below)
Also on property was Brent Cunningham. Brent was a visiting apprentice trainer who came to RYP to be exposed to more dog training depth with emphasis on behavior modification, tracking, detection and bite work. Brent was a wonderful student who will now head back to Michigan to start his own dog training business: K9 Attitude.
Wrapping out the month Caite and I took the kids on a vacation and brought Andrew Weidenbach back out from South Dakota to look after the property and take care of Liesel and Oaken. What should have been an easy going 2 weeks on the property turned into a bit of a stressful stretch as a large wildfire came uncomfortably close to our property and Andrew had to make preparations to evacuate.
Luckily, due to the talent and coordination of our fire fighter assets in Montana, they got the blaze under control before it became a direct threat to our property.
Will be traveling/teaching and filming a lot this August and September! Will be looking to book private lesson programs to work around a dymamic schedule as we head into fall! Cheers and Happy Training!
